Daddy Lumba’s One-Week Observance Relocated to Independence (Black Star) Square Amid Local Noise Ban

The one-week vigil in honor of Ghanaian highlife legend Daddy Lumba has been moved to Black Star (Independence) Square in Accra.

Originally slated for University of Ghana Stadium on Saturday, August 30, 2025, the venue change was necessary due to a noise-making and funerals ban imposed by the La Traditional Area Council, effective Monday, August 11, running through Friday, September 5, 2025.

The family confirmed the date remains unchanged and issued an apology for any inconvenience this relocation may cause, while thanking fans and well-wishers for their ongoing support.
