Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has criticized Africans who know every detail about biblical figures like Peter, Paul, and Joseph but remain ignorant about their own ancestors.
In a statement on Sunday, Yul Edochi urged Nigerians to explore their roots, emphasizing that knowing nothing about one’s lineage, great-grandparents, or ancestral history is shameful.
“If you’re an African and you know all about the people of Israel but nothing about your own village and ancestors, you should be ashamed of yourself. You’re lost,” he wrote.
