The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has announced new strategies aimed at ensuring the long-term growth and security of Ghana’s music industry.
According to the union’s leadership, these modalities will focus on:
- Strengthening welfare systems for musicians,
- Promoting intellectual property rights,
- Expanding opportunities for training and mentorship, and
- Ensuring financial sustainability for artists both during and after their active careers.
MUSIGA highlighted the importance of adapting to modern industry demands, particularly in the era of digital streaming, where global exposure must go hand-in-hand with fair compensation.
The union reassured its members and stakeholders that these initiatives are designed to build a stronger foundation for both upcoming and established artistes, securing the future of Ghanaian music.
