Kobby Kyei Urges Sam George to Champion Meta Offices in Ghana

Ghanaian blogger and influencer Kobby Kyei has called on Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Sam George, to use his influence to push for Meta (formerly Facebook) to establish an office in Ghana.

In a recent submission, Kobby Kyei argued that Ghana’s youth are highly engaged on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, and having a regional office in the country could create job opportunities, improve digital policy engagement, and strengthen Ghana’s presence in the global digital space.

He emphasized that with Ghana’s growing tech-savvy population and creative industry, such a move would not only benefit content creators but also boost the country’s economy and digital footprint on the continent.

His appeal comes at a time when African creators are increasingly advocating for global tech giants to recognize and invest in their markets.
