Don’t Mention My Name Again or You’ll Hear From Me, Mr Drew Warns Dhopenation

Ghanaian singer Mr Drew has issued a pointed warning to the music duo DopeNation, telling them to refrain from invoking his name in public interviews.

The warning followed recent remarks by DopeNation—comprised of the twins B2 and Twist—claiming they co-wrote and produced Mr Drew’s hit song “This Year”, but were never given proper acknowledgement. In an exchange captured on X (formerly Twitter), Mr Drew responded sharply:

“Yo @GhDopeNation I love what y’all do but don’t disrespect me or my brand… you could have had your interview without mentioning my name… next time you mention my name, you go hear am… bunch of lame guys throwing tantrums.”

According to Joy Entertainment, the duo claimed Mr Drew lacked a fully formed structure for the song, necessitating their input to turn it into the hit it became.

Mr Drew, however, rejected the narrative as unnecessary and disrespectful, vowing to protect his brand and reputation.

The exchange highlights a growing tension between Mr Drew and DopeNation, with no official response yet from the duo.
