Great Oti Association North America Donates Essential Supplies to Jasikan Municipal Hospital.

The Great Oti Association North America (GOANA) has reaffirmed its commitment to improving healthcare delivery in the Oti Region with a donation of essential hospital supplies to the Jasikan Municipal Hospital.

The presentation, held today, saw the hospital receive 70 bedsheets, 70 bed covers, and 70 pillowcases, part of a consignment sent from North America to support medical facilities across the region.

According to Mr. Moses Beick Baffour, Secretary and Country Representative of GOANA in Ghana, the items arrived in the country in 2024 but distribution was delayed due to embossing processes.

In addition to Jasikan, other beneficiaries include Worawora Hospital (Oti Regional Hospital), Krachi West District Hospital, Likpe Bakua Polyclinic, and Kadjebi Clinic. He further revealed that the association is planning to provide hospital beds in its next phase of support.

President of the association, Mr. Savior Dell Adiakpor, expressed appreciation to the hospital management and staff for their warm reception. He highlighted GOANA’s broader mission of fostering unity among Oti indigenes in the diaspora and channeling their collective efforts towards development back home.

Mr. Adiakpor also acknowledged the vital contributions of his UK-based Vice President and other key partners whose support made the donation possible. He assured that the association will continue to collaborate with healthcare institutions in the region to bridge critical gaps in medical resources.

This initiative underscores the growing role of diaspora associations in complementing government efforts and strengthening healthcare systems in Ghana.
