Kwabena Kwabena Condemns King Paluta’s Insults Toward UK Fan

Ghanaian highlife legend Kwabena Kwabena has publicly criticised rapper King Paluta following an incident at a London event where Paluta was caught on video insulting a female fan.

The altercation occurred when the fan allegedly expressed displeasure with Paluta’s performance, prompting the artiste to pause mid-set and verbally lash out—an exchange that has since gone viral on social media  .

Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz, Kwabena Kwabena described the behaviour as unprofessional and unbecoming of Paluta’s rising stature. He emphasised that the primary responsibility of a performing artiste—regardless of venue, local or international—is to entertain and respect paying fans  .

“I’m not excited about the words he used; they are not words that should come from an artiste of his stature,” Kwabena Kwabena remarked  .

He added that artists frequently find themselves under intense scrutiny and must develop the capacity to handle unexpected criticism with grace and composure  .

Kwabena Kwabena also urged King Paluta and his management team to issue a public apology, saying, “Apologising doesn’t make you less of a star. It shows maturity”  .

Industry Voices Echo Call for Apology

The sentiment for accountability was echoed broadly within the Ghanaian entertainment scene. Media personality Vida Adutwumwaa, artist manager BullGod, and broadcaster Yaa Yeboah joined in demanding corrective action. Some insiders suggest Paluta and his team are still reluctant to address the matter publicly  .

As the controversy grows, many hope King Paluta will take steps to mend his image and reaffirm Ghana’s global reputation in the music industry.
