MP Geoffrey Kini Donates Relief Items to Conflict-Affected Families in Nkwanta South

In a heartfelt show of solidarity, Geoffrey Kini, the Member of Parliament for Nkwanta South in the Oti Region, has donated essential relief items to families affected by the recent conflict.
The unrest has left many residents in urgent need of assistance, prompting both the government and the MP to take swift action to alleviate their suffering.
The relief package includes 300 bags of rice, soap, cooking oil, buckets, 1,000 blankets, mosquito coils and nets, 1,000 plastic cups and plates, second-hand clothing, and more. The donation, made through National Security, is aimed at providing immediate support to those struggling to meet their basic needs.
Speaking during the donation, Mr. Kini reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting affected families. He emphasized the importance of unity and resilience, urging chiefs and community leaders to work together in fostering peace and rebuilding their communities.
The MP’s gesture has been warmly received by the community, with many expressing gratitude for his dedication to their welfare.
On behalf of the Adele, Challa Akyode, and Muslim communities, Alhaji Kayaba Ibrahim, the Nkwanta Zongo chief, thanked the MP for his timely intervention, noting that the support has brought hope amid the crisis.
He also called on warring factions to lay down their arms and embrace peace for the sake of development. Alhaji Kayaba Ibrahim stressed that the prolonged conflict is crippling the community’s progress, urging collaborative efforts to restore normalcy and create a conducive environment for business and economic activities to thrive.
